The Assistant Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science, the Hon Craig Laundy MP announced on Friday that MODRON is one of 11 Australian businesses to be offered commercialisation support under the Accelerating Commercialisation element of the Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme.
Under the grant, MODRON will receive $465,000 in matched funding from the Federal Government to support the commercialisation of MODRON’s One Account which is a technology solution for lawyers, mediators, barristers and other dispute resolution professionals.
MODRON Managing Director Richelle Nicols was thrilled to receive the news from Commercialisation Advisor Maureen Murphy, who will be supporting and advising MODRON on behalf of the Entrepreneurs’ Programme over the next two years.
It is exciting to receive this kind of support from the Australian Government. The due diligence they did on MODRON as part of this application process was incredibly thorough. They fact checked everything from our strategy and financials, to technological design. It was obviously well worth it, because the Federal Government is now supporting part of our initiative to energise the ADR sector’s potential growth and impact on the Australian economy.
The MODRON One Account has been purpose built to enhance the skills, experience and geographical/socio-economic reach of dispute resolution professionals using human-centric technology. The macro intention is to redirect disputes away from courts and tribunals, which therefore allows the legal system to focus on larger more complex matters. Entrepreneurs' Programme commercialisation support will be used to assist in testing the commercial viability of the MODRON One Account.
